On 17 May 2022 Eurisy is organising the e-shape workshop Earth Observation solutions for smart cities, urban planning, and maritime: hands-on e-shape pilots. It will present some of the project’s pilots related to maritime activities and aims to inform participants about the benefits derived from the integration of Earth Observation-based applications into users’ daily workflows and fostering discussions and exchanges about opportunities and challenges with potential new users of Earth Observation applications. Eventually, the workshop will favour knowledge exchanges on co-design methodologies to develop the uptake of mature EO-based services for the maritime domain.
Exploring the future of MSP under the European Green Deal
Eurisy will participate in the workshop “Exploring the future of MSP under the European Green Deal“. The workshop will discuss what would need to be included in the processes of implementation of the European Maritime Spatial Planning Directive (MSP), for complying with Europe’s decarbonization ambitions, set by the European Green Deal (EGD) and connected policies, also using new opportunities given by satellite data and considering further issues and new challenges recently emerged from science-based consciousness, such as underwater noise and marine geohazards.
