Eurisy General Assembly 2023

On June 19th the brand-new ESA headquarter opened its doors to the Eurisy community to host its 2023 General Assembly. The General Assembly is the key annual meeting to take stock of the activities performed by the secretariat to meet the objectives set and to share information, exchange experiences, discuss potential partnerships. To address all possible needs the event has been organised in hybrid format counting 25 participants present on site and 17 members participating remotely, altogether representing 19 countries and 23 organisations. 

Meet our new member, the European Union Agency for the Space Programme: Interview with Rodrigo da Costa

In December 2022, the European Union Agency for the Space Programme joined the Eurisy Network. We interviewed their Executive Director, Mr Rodrigo da Costa, to know more about EUSPA and their reasons to become a member of Eurisy.

Space for All! Eurisy contribution to the 73rd edition of the International Astronautical Congress

The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) time, the biggest global space forum landed in Paris. IAC2022 has been inaugurated as “Space for @ll”, to highlight the change experienced by the sector transforming it from a closed sector into a transversal, multidisciplinary industry enabling highly innovative services.

And it is again that time of the year, the time to gather around a, yet again, virtual table with all our Members to look back together at all the exciting activities performed by the association throughout 2021, to collect feedback and suggestions, and to prospectively lay down the main drivers for a new thrilling year.

Eurisy appointed as Participating Organisation of the GEO Programme Board

We are delighted to announce that Eurisy is now a member of the Group on Earth Observation (GEO) Programme Board. As a Participating Organisation to the GEO Programme Board, Eurisy seeks to influence technical and policy decisions and to contribute to the GEO Work Programme. Through participation in the GEO Plenary and Programme Board, Eurisy will benefit from the global community of Earth observation experts to learn from and share knowledge in the areas of the GEO engagement priorities, namely regarding climate change, disaster risk reduction and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

It’s again that time of the year: it’s the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) time, the biggest space forum where global actors come together to learn about the most recent trends and developments in the space sector. This year Eurisy took part to the event as exhibitor and with three papers to IAC Technical Sessions.

Capacity building in the public sector to use satellite-based services: Poland paves the way

The Sat4Envi initiative is a national operating system for gathering, sharing and promotion of digital satellite information about the environment in Poland. By providing civil servants with better tools to manage stallite-based services, it contributes to the public administration’s transition towards a digital economy.
