Kicking Off the SpaceSUITE Project in Genoa
Eurisy, together with 27 partners, kicked off the new SpaceSUITE project in Genoa (IT) with partners from Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands, Portugal, Greece, Slovenia and Estonia from February 1st to 2nd, 2024. The meeting was hosted by the Geographical Information Systems International Group (GISIG).
SpaceSUITE is an ERASMUS+ Blueprint project for the development of innovative resources for education and training to bridge the gap between the supply and demand of skills in the ever-growing downstream space sector. Eurisy supports the project mainly through its communication and dissemination activities, with the aim to maximise the project’s outreach, raise awareness and increase stakeholders’ engagement and the engagement of potential stakeholders, to optimise the use of resources by information exchange, to stimulate interest and knowledge about the project outcomes, and to promote the training curricula and programs, both to the general public, to relevant stakeholders and final users.
“SpaceSUITE will be critical for achieving the objectives of the European Commission on skills development in the space sector, and the project is extremely complementary to existing and upcoming initiatives in this area.”
– Maria Vittoria D’Inzeo, project officer at European Commission Directorate-General on Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS)
